Then go to "configure" then "Network"
There you should see your interfaces, and you can select "DHCP", so it picks up IP address...

The only choice for Linux and other U*IX compatible OS'es, is basically Mencoder and/or FFMpeg.
And you're going to have to install the RPM's yourself, with all dependencies.
