Then there's a problem somewhere else because that is the way the standard TMPEG templates are set too :!: If you encode with one of the stardard templates in TMPEG, you should get the same result....

Yes, it depends on the movie, but a lot of series are shot FILM.

For the KDVD Full D-1, you didn't encode anamorphic. That's why it looks shrinked compared to the first image. For the KDVD Half D-1, maybe your player doesn't support half D-1...
