See if you have the file msvcr70.dll under WINDOWS/system32
It must be there. If not, it won't work.

That's it right there. You have to select YUY in DVD2AVI. Not RGB.
TMPEG can't process RGB.

Could it be that your source is RGB?
And you just need to insert a line like this:

ConvertToYUY2()

in your AviSynth script.
