No, not at all.
3:2 pulldown has nothing to do with aspect ratio.
It has to do with framerate flags.

That's the problem right there. I also have a Sony NS300, and it's the most picky player I've seen :!:
It only plays some CD-R brands. The cheap ones, the ones that you can almost see thru, are not...

Burn your KVCD movie to a CD-R, and you won't have any problems :)

Or 360 minutes with ULBR, but that's for small TV sets, as quality will be sub VCD. Still watcheable, and on small TVs ( 13" or so) it will look just like a VCD :)
