Have you tried virtual dub's Save Wav--feature?

Have you tried a program called Synchronizer 0.8--give that a try to see if you can get the audio out that way. Seems like a nice lil app....

Sounds Like MP4 --- AC3 or AAC

For the new MP4 format one needs Divx video & AAC audio.

It sound like the file you downloaded has 5.1 or ac3, or aac audio in it.
You may need a codec for the audio to extract and then need to...
