so the standard Levels values in the script are these?

levels(0,1.0,255,0,255,false)

you mean the threshold command right? setting that to a higher value will make the mask smaller, so more details will be smoothed right? with a lower value the mask will be larger, and more detail...

can you give some hints how to set the threshold level right? I encoded a rather noisy dvd with ADS, and results were really great, compared to standard scripts.
this is what i used......

that is because the MA part really will do most of the blurring...

May I ask what the difference is between ADS, and Fluffbutt's script (can't remember the name right now) that he made maybe half a year ago?
I know it used MaskTools too... :roll:
