Funny though, my 4x media (MCC002) burns much better at 8x than at...

Do you happen to know the media codes for both 8x and 4x discs? I just tried burning two spare Verbatim 8x discs and they ended up in the trashcan, 4x discs burn fine at 8x. The 8x discs are MCC003,...
