Kwag - Please let me know what are the lowest settings on your template x3... if you want to still have somewhat decent quality but fit about 2 hours... FitCD seems to be too complicated and time...

Is there anything negative about using DVD2AVI "Force Film"? Is there anything I should be aware of, or certain cases where it wouldn't work?

Encoding from a DVD

DVD source, About a Boy, don't have the movie here so can't tell what it was but pretty sure it was NTSC, it's my friends movie, I just used smart ripper and got it on my laptop hard drive last time...

that's exactly what I did. I used KVCDx3 MPEG 2 template from www.kvcd.net , and the ONLY change I made is change the resolution from 528 to 544 X 480. The movie About a Boy came...

update on KVCDx3

I just made a sample with KVCDx3 544X480 Mpeg 1, which is supposed to work with Apex, however, the audio skips every few seconds... I remember it did that when the min. bitrate on CQ is below 600......
