I don't know what is happend with ac3 file, maybe don't support ac3 5.1, but mp2 supported is mpeg-1 audio Layer 2. If this info is right, you need to transcode your mp2 to mp2 with besweet using mpa...

mpeg file supports, for VCD, only mp2 audio files, and for DVD mp2 or ac3 audio files (and others). bbmpeg only supports mp2 and ac3 audio types.
