Indeed the results are far from better when using srt2sup.
Nevertheless seems to be the only subs tool rendering pictures from text that I can find.
BTW you wouldn't know any other...

Sorry but I forgot to mention that my earlier post was regarding switchable DVD subtitles for Authoring with IfoEdit.
That is indeed the only way I know to make the subs work with IfoEdit....
