Why not try the big3 method on doom9? It's what I use when I want a perfect duplicate of the DVD and I have to reduce more than 85%... Great results, keeping all the menus audio and removing the suff...

Good to see you back. Tell me, any special reason for not using one pass? I've found that high bitrate is very good for keeping details in faces and surfaces, for instance. Good luck!
