Note: a standalone has a short lifetime... Perhaps you are doign nothing wrong. Let try with an old SVCD you did months ago, to check that.

It's clear that your problem is due to freenc. Just drop it if you can't find an other solution !

Freenc and all libav based encoder have bitrate problems. And that causes freezing concerns.
