sst ? you mean a graphical subtitle ? I never use that. The only think I can testify DVDLabPro can use is SRT.

Does your standalone indicates you that it seens the subtitle stream ?
I mean for instance if I read a DVD with 3 subtitles on my pioneer, the first press on the "subtitle" button...
