Yes, I forgot to mention that. This is only for MPEG1 (not MPEG2, nor m1v or m2v alone), but that is a good point.

Which version of tmpgenc do you have ?
The input support for m2v is recent. (the tools always output to m2v f course, but wasn't abble to read it).
