Well a proper vfw decoding is already supported in ffdshow since both engines (ffdshow/ffvfw) have been merged.

BUT! Does your reply mean that finally also the filtering within the vfw-decoder of...

How did u use ffdshow for that comparison? Via directshowsource() or its new avisynth filter-wrapper capabilities (filter call in the script)?
