IF I do author a KDVD I always do reencode the AC3 to lower Kbits, ... so the delay can be automatically fixed by AC3machine. But to stuff more the audio data I think that was not his intention.

There's a appl. which only adds a delay to an existing ac3 stream.
Something like "AC3 dely corrector" ... "AC3 fixer" ... I don't know exactly now.
By this you don't need to reencode.
