AVI to KVCD Guide Problem - tmpgenc configuration?

Hi
I'm trying to follow a Updated AVI to KVCD Guide, only I've got to the part where it says open the AviT.avs with TMPGE as soon as I try to do that a message comes up "The image is invalid" ...
