I am trying to convert a XVID to KDVD. I had heard that you could simply do this using the KDVD template and TGMPeg, but when I start transcoding, the final result ends up with video only. Because of this, I separated the audio and video using Virtual Dub, and then load both separatly with TGMpeg. Is this all I need to do to convert the Xvid to KDVD? Is there an easier way to do it?

Welcome corrupt

Yes you can do that but there are so many ways to get better video and audio.

you never said if you use an avs script pr not but look in the DIKO forum here it is an all in one tool that does great work.

Most people here use headach3e or besweet to do the audio and Tmpge or CCE for the video.

Just take some time and read here because if you are new to this it could take a little while

OffTopic: I don't know what are thinking some people at time of choice a nick!!!
KVCD Templates are without sound, even you can say to tmpgenc that encode audio, checking circle "system (video+audio)", it is better to encode audio with other tool, like Besweet or Headac3he, and later multiplex it with bbmpeg.
You must to have your own experience. Try both methods.

What exactly is AVS/DIKO? I want to achieve the best quality possible, but still fit 4-5 full length divx/xvid movies on to one DVDR. What all in one tool are you talking about?

hi

I would say 3 movies max

AVS is a script that uses filters through avisynth

DIKO is the all in one tool made by one fo the members here ,like i said before it is alot of new stuff to learn here if you just used the templates before.

if you can get DIKO woprking for you it will eliminate alot of the learning process

read it here
