To add subtitles to a movie, I followed the steps in the Sefy's Guide.
But I can't make TMPG read the file created by VirtualDub.
My source is D2V edited by Avisynth.

Here is what I am doing:
1- Install the VirtualDub handler frameclient support
2- Open the AVS in VirtualDub
3- Add the VobSub filter (VirtualDub preview the subtitles perfectly)
4- Start the frame server
5- Frame server setup -> name = ai_avisynth.avs
6- Save signpost for AVIfile -> name = server.vdr (or server.avi, none work)
7- Run the proxyon.reg or not ... (on / off none work)
8- Try to open the server.avi (or .vdr) in TMPGEnc

TMPGEnc says "can't open, or unsupported"

HELP! What am I doing wrong?

OBS: When I am oppening the server.avi (or .vdr), TMPG dosen't show the .VDR files in the list.

You probably need to add the file "msvcr70.dll" to your system32 folder.

You are completely right!!
I found one "msvcr70.dll" in the OfficeXP folder.
Is that the right one?
Well I used it, and it works like a charm!

Thanks a lot for the help, Kwag!

One other question... I'm using VirtualDub just to add the VobSub filter.
I was reading some of the vobsub docs and found this:
--> "Avisynth: vobsub.dll (no need to copy it anywhere, Avisynth can load this from the system folder when no path is specified)"
So, I assume that Avisynth can use the vobsub.dll to add the subtitles, but I can't figure out how...
Do you know if its possible to add the subtitles using vobsub+avisynth?

I've only used VobSub from Vdub. Never tried it any other way, but I think that there is a way to do it within an AviSynth script.
Check the AviSynth docs.
