I know that this sounds pretty stupid but is there a way to set frame server file input for AVS (like vdr file). I'm only curious is there a function to do this. Directshowsource doesn't do the trick.

That isn't that stupid at all!

You can just open a vdr (I think it will be served by that VFAPI codec?!) by:

Avisource("xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.vdr")

Well some time ago when I used that way on aspecific job it worked for me, but watch out for correct colorspace settings in ffdshow or codec settings in general, as vdr does frameserve rgb32!

Avisource was last command I was suspecting of use in this case, but it works
