I like the half D-1. It looks very good, and fits...

I like the half D-1. It looks very good, and fits 7-8 hours, depending on your material. Looks very good even on HDTV's :wink:

MPEG-2 is fine at 720x480, but MPEG-1 is limited to 352x240(288) on a DVD. Every DVD authoring program will allow 720x480(576) MPEG-2. But not MPEG-1 at that resolution.

Basically your mpeg-1 must be 352x240(288), max frames per GOP of 15 (18 NTSC), audio must be 48Khz. Some authoring programs only accept CBR. Not sure about DVD workshop. Look at the specifications...
