The software and drivers vary, but the hardware is the same. I have 3 of the 4 installers as ISO. One is dark red, one is red, one is orange.
The elusive one is the rare CD that contains ATI MMC in a beta form that was replaced by inferior CMC, but that only matters for MPEG. ATI MMC was made for ATI AIW, which had hybrid hardware/software encoding based on Ligos. MMC with ATI 600 would have been pure software, and obviously did not work.
ATI 600 USB is one of the few USB cards that never had production changes, though it also didn't have a long production lifecycle (therefore not really a surprise).
As always, be careful buying from eBay, or part unknown. I have seen, heard, and read about "new" cards that sat in a semi-abandoned warehouse for a decade. So cards overheated over multiple summers (sometimes parts even melted or fused), and it smelled like rodents inside the (even sealed!) box. eBay also has lots of user-stock/reused images now. You don't even need to take your own photos anymore, eBay suggests photos from past auctions for you. Very misleading place now, "buyer betware" more than ever before.
Which reminds me, I think I have just one 600 card left in the marketplace, need to update my hardware soon, a lot of it is gone now.
