The folks at Ign.com have encrypted their files from direct2drive.com, which doesn't make it possible, at least with the stuff I've got, to burn them onto a DVD so I can watch them on my television. Does anyone have a program that can decrypt them or put them on a DVD?

Nope. You'll probably have to play the computer into a DVD recorder connected to a tv.

I've looked around and there are a number of programs that claim to remove copy protection or rerecord such files into unprotected files. But some of them look like junk. The latest I'm looking at is the Daniusoft Media Converter. Don't know if that's any good.

Be careful. Many of those unknown program come full of spyware, trojans, virus, etc.

Yeah, I had to pitch one of them because it had viruses in it. So I'm being very cautious. I'm still looking into other options if possible.
