Updated: JUL/20/2005, new version with HC Encoder as engine.

2 tricks:
1 - You can change menu filesize changing CQ value in HC.ini file, before closing Menu.avs script.
2 - You can use any background changing MenuPAL.jpg or MenuNTSC.jpg (that what you need) for any jpg of same resolution, before closing Menu.avs script.

Updated: JUL/19/2005, added NTSC support. If you are NTSC user you must to test it. It works but I don't now about two little screens proportion as I have not NTSC sources, it could be ok or screwed, I don't know it, sorry.
About fps, the menu will take same fps as your movie1 and movie2.avs files.
Then, doesn't matter what kind of conversion you make, PAL-PAL, PAL-NTSC, NTSC-NTSC, NTSC-PAL, the menu will have same fps as your final 2 videos.
Take in account if you need to pulldown (or DGpulldown) your final videos, you should do the same with the menu file.
Audio menu time goes time sincronizated with video menu time, doesn't matter what fps you do use.

This new app generates a nice main page motion menu for two movies.
Most DVD backups I do, have 2 movies, then I created this app.
Download the file, keep it where you want, a direct access will be created in your desktop.
It works in a courious way, you only need to execute it, it is a winzip self extract file, in the path box, you must to put the path to your working folder, where you have 2 avs files that generated your 2 mpv files, it must be named movie0.avs and movie1.avs. Also you must to have there a mp3 file that you want as menu music.
Of course you must to have compilation original files.

Although I will probably never use this tool preferring DVD-Lab Pro for my Menu Authoring I think this is a neat little tool and a great free alternative for making nice menu's.

Great work Luis keep up the good work.

You can select between BDVD or KVCD one (in the avs script).

@Zyphon:
I do use also DVDLab. With this app you automatize part of your work, obtaining main motion menu. I usually capture a pic from this menu and do use it as still for main chapters page, and do use DVDLab generated stills as chapters page.

Thanks for the info Luis, when I get the change I might take another look at this app and see what I can achieve menu wise.

Thanks again for the tip buddy.

Luis,

I didn't give a look to your app right now but a question do you take care about PAL/NTSC for the resolution and fps of the generated menu ?

I did it for PAL, but think (I need to see the script) that you can change it in script.

It wasn't so easy but now is updated.

Any chance of using it with HC
Because FreeEnc (Quenc and NuEnc included ) MPEG constraints suck badly, because of avcodec

I don't think this will hurt so much to have a "sucking" 48" menu
