Does anyone know if it is possible to create an "autorun" program for the second disk of a two disk vcd that was created with Nero?
Okay, maybe not an autorun as such...How would you make the 2nd vcd to begin playing after the first?
I do not have a problem using cd-r's to burn movies onto, I just thought that if the 2nd disk could play upon completion of the 1st vcd disk it might be nice.
Thanks ahead of time.

I have a toshiba 5 disk dvd. A carasolle, or something like that. It can hold 5 dvd's, cd's, etc.
I have not had a problem recording vcds; but when I use two, it does not forward to the 2nd vcd disk and play.
Any ideas???

Hi lawman555,
I have a JVC DVD player (7 disk changer), and it always automatically goes to the next (K)VCD every time the first one finishes. I believe this could be a configuration option on your player

I have a sony 5 disc carouselle and it loads the next disc when it gets to the end of the first- it might just be the player itself instead of the way the disc is burned. Do put in chapter points?

Does the Volume Number and Total Volumes count settings allow multi disc DVD players to recognise that the movie is on more that 1 disc? Mine can only play one disc at a time but I always wondered what the purpose of having these options was. Just a thought...

I am not familiar with the "Chapter Points" reference. Is this a setting inside Nero when you create the disks? Does it have to do with setting up a menu.
So far I have only burnt the disk(s) w/o menus or chapters.
For what it is worth, thank you all very much. Now if I can figure it out it will be cooooool.
Maybe I need to check the nero manual or help files. So far I have not been able to properly communicate with their tech support; but I am still trying.
One of their settings for the dual boot menu, IE: nero vs adaptec burning software, was listed on their web site as an FTP site. Well, for whatever reason I cannot view it or download it. Still waiting for their help on that one. (Excuse me while I digress)

Law,
Chapter Points function the same as chapters or Scenes on a dvd, except they are authored (inserted using vcdeasy, tscv). Nero does a 'menu' if you've got a few different mpg files. It lets you create thumbnails and Jump to a particular file on the vcd.
Vcdeasy lets you create and use a Menu as well or just entry points.
Entry points are easier to use, if your player supports them they could be used to pseudo-Fast Forward in two or three minute increments; or however long you assign.
Have a read at these documents to learn more.
Have some Tylenol nearby though.....

Okay...I have checked my VCDs that were created with Nero and I found no files at all at the root level. If it was set to autorun, wouldn't there be an autorun type of file.??
I have read the info about the menus and chapters; but haven't had a chance to do it yet.
Would the autorun file from a program CD work??? probably not, just wondered.
