Hi there,
I am looking for free authoring tools that support Chinese (BIG5) and more than one subtitles. I have TDA,Rejig and dvdauthorgui.

My subtitles usually are in the format of .srt or .idx/.sub (vobsub).
At the moment I am converting the .srt and .sub to .sup by srt2sup & sub2sup and muxing the .sup in Rejig0.5d. There are 2 problems which I don't know how to solve:
1) The subtitles are not stable and shaking on TV screen while the moive is not.
2) The subtitle disappear after a while (say 15 mins) and I need to call the subtitle menu to call them back.

I don't know whether these problems are related to the sxx2sup tools or the rejig. Are there any setting in those tools that I need to pay attention to? How can I verify the correctness of the VOB streams generated after muxing?

I would like to try dvdauthorgui but it looks like it does not support Chinese subtitle as I could not find the corresponding ISO charactor set.

Any advice here?

I don't know about DVDAuthorGUI, but SPUMux (included in the original dvdauthor) is capable of creating Subtitles with different encodings like hebrew, so it probably is able to handle chinese too. You'll have to check the documentation to see how to create a XML file with the proper options.

It seems that in the GUI the fonts are listed not as font type, but as file name. So go to C - Windows - Fonts and look for the file name of the font you want to specified. It should be listed under this name in the GUI.

Are .ttc different than .ttf? Only .ttf are listed in the dropdown box while the Chinese font (MingLiu) I need is in .ttc extension.

Well, I don't know if they are different. You can try another GUI:http://www.boraxsoft.de/GUI_DVDauthor_eng_01.shtml, but I don't know if it will work.
