Sure
. Open your file manager and click on "Tools/Folder options/File types". Then scroll down until you see the .AVS. If it's not there, add it. Then associate it with your favorite player.
Edit: Doesn't work with WinDVD. It runs the player, but doesn't play. Not sure about PowerDVD. Maybe other players (BSPlay, etc. ) will work.
