OK, this seems to occur only on films that are in RGB format, and I thought it was the ConvertToYUY2() line that was causing it. But I loaded the original avi file directly into TMPGEnc and it looked fine, I then loaded it via a simple AVS script with NO filters...and there were purple blocks all over the film...I loaded the avi file in VirtualDub and the purpleness was there again, but when I play the film in Windows Media Player its fine!! Help!! I can't think of why this is happening...I tried to load it using DirectShowSource instead of avisource, but TMPGEnc would crash while encoding.......

OK, this only seems to happen on films encoded with
"MS MPEG-4 3688 V3" so could this be a codec problem?

Hi PyRoMaNiA,

Download the XviD CODEC. See if that helps.

OK, I've fixed this problem now, I uninstalled the Nimo Codec pack and everything works fine! Annoying as I only recently fixed a more severe "green haze" XviD problem...ah well. Turns out it was in Windows Media Player too, just less noticeable.
