Hi

I am currently using avisynth 2.07 should i upgrade to 2.5, what are the advantages

I notice that you recommend using sharpen, mergechroma, and mergeluma filters in script, do i need to download these filters anywhere

Final question. In moviestacker you have choice of 4 resize options, Blinear, Bicubic standard, Bicubic precise, and Lazncos whatever that is which option is best for 704x576 or 544x576 res from a dvd source

Thanks once again all!

what i think is best so far is:

1. use avisynth 2.08 mergechroma and luma wonīt work with 2.07
2. you donīt have to download mergechrom, mergeluma and sharpen. itīs all within avisynth 2.08. just add the lines in your script
3. bicubic resize gives me the highest video quality

a) I use Avisynth 2.08, lot of people say that vesrion 2.51 is faster but still buggy. If u decide to upgrade to 2.51, u have to replace all your filters with the ones for the 2.51 version.

b) These 3 filters are intergrated to Avisynth code.

c) Bicubic seems to me that gives better quality, have a look also here:

the merge functions already worked in 2.07 ...
