from mf (MCF, xvid & vdubmod team) :

What's it do: It darkens lines in anime! ^_^
What's the catch: It SLIGHTLY darkens non-lines.
What's the speed: 10fps @ 640x480 on an Athlon XP 2000+
Where can I get it: HERE...

Thanks Jorel!

I've saved the thread to study carefully, there seems to be some nice tricks in there...

But, my feeling is that the most useful cartoon filter (mosquito prevention) would be a filter to make edges THICKER, not necessarily darker. A thicker edge followed by some smoothing is problably less prone to Gibbs ringing than thin, sharp, high contrast edges.

Does anybody know a filter like that?
