I am trying to load an avi file into avisynth 2.08 and i type
AviSource("E:\movie.avi",false) and it doesn't work, when i try to preview it in my media player the time comes up correct but it does nothing (just a black screen?)
I installed 2.52 and it is fine.

Does any body know why this is happening?
I've tried all older versions as well.

can some one please help me. Thanks.

You probably need a DivX or XviD CODEC update.
Check your AVI CODEC version.
