I figure that a Superbit DVD as source would give the absolute best quality for a KVCD? I have Bram Stoker's Dracula myself but haven't tried to encode it yet. Would be interesting to know how a Superbit encode will look.
Please, post a clip if you have one.

EDIT: If I'm gonna encode a Superbit DVD is there any way of using the DTS sound instead of DD? If so, what program do I use to encode the audio?

hi audioslave..

I have "Charlies Angels" and "The Fifth Element" - - both versions.. Standard
and SBit DVD.

That's a good idea, and I've ben meaning/trying to complete this.

I've done some scenes of "The 5th.." already (for testing purposes) but none
so far, for "Charlies Ang..." so, maybe when I get some time, I'll post, or else
maybe someone else has gotten some and would like to post them. Mine are
MPEG-2 though. So, there would bound to be some differences !

Hi vhelp,
It's no hurry. I just came think about it. I have Bram Stoker's Dracula (Superbit) myself and will try to encode it as soon as I get home!
I don't have the "regular" version though so I can't really compare the difference in quality (if any!)...

As for Sbit disks..

The one thing I have notice so far, is that they are slightly "lighter" in color.

That will change some thing a bit in your final encode setting up. So, be on
a lookout for disks that are "lighter" in color, complensate if you see them
this way or similar or opposite

I've made a few discoveries in my encoding process (my own) and I may
end up re-doing some scenes to compare (before, and after) to see if my
new tweaks made any differences.
