most of my kvcd's have really bad break up/blockiness during the credits of the movie and sometimes the words on the screen double up and appear at the middle and top of the screen. after the credits, the movie has excellent picture quality thanks to the great optimal scripts. but is there any way to solve the break/blockiness up problem at the beginning?

thanks

Change your standalone !

There is no way " words on the screen double up and appear at the middle and top of the screen" with what we do in the scripts ! I'm sure that this problem isn"t of the PC screen if you play the mpg directly here. No ?

Or I really don't understand what you are describing.

Hi Paul

I have the norcent 300 and usually on the opening credits i get the words in the top corner and so forth but when the movie is on it is excellent

d&c suggested that it might be the min bitrate causing the problem on my standalone so try increasing it by 50 each time and see if it helps. It didn't work for me but i just got used to it.

What I don't understand is this.

When people want to fit the whole movie on one CDR, they almost
always have trouble w/ the credit (be it, inthe opening, or the end or the
both)

As was posted earlier here, it is all about:
* bitrate min.
* dvd players (or, for some strange reason, your pc - though rare)

What I would do, if I really wanted to stick w/ the credit (and rightfully so,
cause I'd want it too, if I were aiming at fitting a whole movie on on CDR)
either of two things:

A) - cut those credits (beging and/or ending) and do those last, but with a
.......higher bitrate. Those you can test, w/ trial 'n error, till the blocks, or
.......whatever issues you were having w/ your given player/pc monitor goes
.......away
B) - minipulate the color level "just slietly" and your blocks should go
.......away in some cases, or improve if anything else.

I would go w/ A) if all else fails in your process, and just merge the .mpg
clips together. That's about the best answer one could give
