I wanted to know if I use it of the filters avisynth in the passage from divx to kvcd, servants to improve the quality or to reduce the dimension of the file? I have made of the tests and I seem that the file are reduced of length, but it is reduced for against also a little the quality. The version avisynth that I have used is the 2.08.

Filters are generally for increasing compressibility (i.e reducnign filesize) by removing details in the picture.

Well chosen filters (and well designed scripts) are those which do a good job without altering the quality of the image.

Give a look a the script I give in the avi->kvcd forum.

Zagor,
By all means!
If you're going to do it, do it in style Try avisynth 2.54 instead of 2.52. You won't regret it.
