Alguien me podría explicar cómo se hace, si es conveniente y si puede ocasionar daños.
Nunca me atreví a hacerlo y tampoco aprendí como.

Bueno creo que es mejor seguir en inglés

Whats your Purpose?

Overclock an Intel, an Athlon XP or an Athlon 64?

I do have running an 1800XP at 2500mhz without Problems. But also 2600+ XP-M Processors are KNOWN to have fantastic potentials up to 2800mhz as they do come in an unlocked state!
If you wanna go with an Athlon64 then use the latest Board architecture (was it 939?) as its more "futural" than the older Athlon64 Board architectures.

Choose your weapon!

PS: And DO think about an effective cooling System ... which decreases temps significantly and on the other hand which decreases the db of your machine. Prices of Watercooling systems did drop significantly this year

(moved to english section)

All depend on the motherboard.
Almost all are jumperless now and all is configured via the BIOS.

Yep thats a barton 2500xp running at 1800mhz-real original. You can get best OC results up to 2500mhz-real BUT you have to watch out for the "stepping" code of CPUs you want to overclock. These stepping codes are part of the ID code on your CPU.
