What is BartPE and PE Builder?

Bart's PE Builder helps you build a "BartPE" (Bart Preinstalled Environment) bootable Windows CD-Rom or DVD from the original Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 installation/setup CD, very suitable for PC maintenance tasks.

It will give you a complete Win32 environment with network support, a graphical user interface (800x600) and FAT/NTFS/CDFS filesystem support. Very handy for burn-in testing systems with no OS, rescuing files to a network share, virus scan and so on.
This will replace any Dos bootdisk in no time!

Would be possible for me:
1] I perform a full clean-system Install
2] I copy the folders:
C:\Documents and Settings
C:\Program Files
C:\WINDOWS
to a secure partition, lets say e:\windows_safe_copy\
3] 2 months later I boot from Bart´s PE and then simple copy the folders back! I mean, you delete (completely ) the olders one and then copy back that clean one from 2 months ago!

would this be possile?

Yes it is.
But is far better to do a image of your boot partition with tools like Norton Ghost or free equivalent that you will find in the Ultimate Boot CD :

IIRC UBCD4Win uses BartPE. It may be safer than the linux UBCD if you're dealing with NTFS partitions.
