I was wondering if you are able to put both beos and win2k on the same harddrive. I have had nothing but windows on my comps so this will be first. I was thinking about just reformatting my 40 gig hard drive. If i could put both on there, should i install beos first or windows.

Thanks

Branden

How is the mpeg encoder for beos? I saw there was one available i was just wondering if it is any good. Is it possible to get tempgenc to work under i beos, i imagine it would take some programming of some sort ( i know nothing about programming that is why i am college). But the way kwag speaks about beos, it would beneficial as far as encoding speed for tempgenc to work under beos.

Hi heyitsme,

You can put BeOS and Win2K or XP on the same drive. You will need a free partition to install BeOS. That's the way I have mine set. BeOS includes a boot manager, so you can select which OS to boot on startup.
About TMPEG on BeOS, I don't think that's possible. There are some emulators ( BOCHS ), but I don't think they are at that level yet.
