Sooooooooo,

What I am trying to find out is which choice produces the better output, Highest Quality (Very Slow) or Motion Estimate Search (Fast).

I am not asking about which one is faster or which one helps to produce a smaller file size.

What I want to know, regardless of speed or size, which one helps to provide a better, crisper, clearer output ?

And of course, can anyone explain why choice X is better, crisper or clearer that choice Y ?

Many Thnx

With the KVCD templates, the "fast motion estimation" gives the best ( less artifacts ) quality. But also a little larger file size. But it pays off
That's the default for the KVCDx3 templates.
