A thing happened very it finds strange

I made a sample with the resolution of 352x480 (KVCD) and it was right, almost catching the screen all of the same way that was in 352x240

Only that when I went to do the whole film, simply of the nothing, was of that way:

I tried to do of everything, to uninstall and to reinstall TMPGEenc, I tried with other version, I redid the script, everything even.. and now until the samples they are likewise.. I also tried to lower the template again, to restart the computer, and anything! I don't really know more than to do!

I open the script in the virtualdub or in any player and it is normal, of the way that I want, only that when I will open in the tmpgenc, it is terrible.

I don't really know what to do, therefore I liked that resolution a lot, it was much better the quality in relation to 352x240, I will wait for an even little before transforming the film for KVCD to see if I get to solve that problem.

Until the resolution 528x480 that I already did several times it was likewise.

Thanks!

Okay, it seems to be a "video arrangement" problem.

Go in tmpgenc settings, Advanced, and see if "video arrangement" is set to "Center" if you are using a script as source, or "full screen - keep aspect ratio" if you use directly the AVI.

Look also if the source A/R is set to "1:1" (or VGA) or to "4:3" in case of script.

Thank you very much Dialhot, was perfect!!!!

See what I changed:

Do I make KVCD's only with script, then, independent of the resolution, do I always put how "center?"

Why are 352x240 turned off there, and am I using 352x480, is that standard?

Why was of that way suddenly? I don't remember before to be "center" there. But it seems that the problem was solved. Thank you Phil!

With a script, Yes. That is the script that does all the work so tmpgenc just have to put the result in the middle of the screen and nothing

Sorry, I understand that your native language is portuguese but I really don't understand anything in that sentence (and the previous one awsn't so much easy to understand to )

The templates set them to "center" so if you used a template once, the setting was put on center. After taht it's propable that you changed it withotu notice and as tmpgenc always use a value until you change it again, then all your work after that were affected.

Ginoboy.

This setting is not used when you select "center" as video arrangement method. So you can have whatever values you want there, that won't change anything

Simple : in VGA an pixel is a real square. That means that a picture that is 480 * 480 is really displayed as a square of 480 pixels large.
But on a TV, the pixels is not square, it is rectangular with an A/R of 4:3 That means taht a picture of 480 * 480 will be displayed on a TV like if that was a picture of 640*480 (640 = 4/3 * 480 of course).

That is why it is so important to tell to the tencoder what is the A/R you want to have for the source. In other words, it is important to tell to it

- "this 480*480 picture that I give to you is a REAL square of 480 pixels, and I want to see it on my TV as a REAL square of 480*480".

or

- "this 480*480 picture that I give to you MUST be displayed as a RECTANGLE of 640*480 ont the TV".

You understand that tmpgenc can't guess alone what you want to have. It's your choice after all
