Hi guys i am waiting for an email(register) to a new forum(for me) for dvd shrink but maybe you guys know

When you rip a movie with dvd decrypter to your hard drive in file mode and select all files is there a way to use the FUll BACKUP option in dvd shrink or do you always need to go right off the dvd

thanx

I've been waiting for the same email for a couple of weeks...

You can DVD Shrink from the hard drive. Just choose "Open Files" instead of "Open Disc".

I've never had a problem going from DVD Decrypter in file mode, with all files selected, to DVD Shrink "Open Files". DVD Decrypter 3.2.3.0, DVD Shrink 3.1.7.6. Sorry I can't be more help.

And yes, I think that's the same forum.

When you do a dvddecypt rip, you need ot also select the fisrt couple of files (the root viseo_ts files, and etc), as well as the main movie files.

Now Shrink will work ok from harddrive.

My suggestion : when you rip in file mode, rip ALL THE FILES that are on the disc. This is the only way I foudn to be sure to not be blocked somewhere because "I thought this file was not important".
