hello, I'm converting a DVD NTSC source into a 1 cd KSVCD using packshot, i've used DVDdecrypt ticked enable stream and ticked the video and the ac3 then ticked demux
at the end i got a IFO, a Mpv (which is the video ONLY and i renamed to VOB) and a VOB ( when i open that VOB its the audio but no picture )
using packshot i located my IFO file and loaded it and began encoding when it finished and got to the audio part it just did this:

Code:
--------------------------
Using VOBInput.dll v1.3 by DVD2SVCD (http://www.dvd2svcd.org)
Using hip.dll v1.19 by Myers Carpenter <myers@users.sf.net>
Error 64 : Unable to get ogg.dll interfaces

please download and install the Ogg Vorbis DS (DirectShow filter) :
http://doom9.org/software2.htm#filters
Using azid.dll v1.9 (b922) by Midas (midas@egon.gyaloglo.hu).
Using Shibatch.dll v0.24 by Naoki Shibata & DSPguru (shibatch.sourceforge.net).
Using MP2enc.dll v1.129 (23/5/2002), Engine 1.129 <http://www.cdex.n3.net>.

[00:00:00:000] +------- BeSweet -----
[00:00:00:000] | Input : D:\DVDr\packshot experiment\VTS_01_1 - 0xE0 - Video -
MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 16~9 - Letterboxed.vob
[00:00:00:000] | Output: D:\DVDr\packshot experiment\test.1.mp2
[00:00:00:000] | Substream ID: 0x80
[00:00:00:000] | Floating-Point Process: Yes
and stoped right there without doing anything else. i did the audio manualy from the ac3 to MP2 and muxed but got audio Sync problem i was wondering if somone knew what i can do

for the movie encoding the only thing i get is this:
Code:
[mpeg2video @ 0x9b50a0]rc buffer underflowmin 0mb A-V:0.000 [0:0]
Pos: 2.2s 52f ( 0%) 25fps Trem: 0min 0mb A-V:0.000 [595:0]
demux_mpg: 24fps progressive NTSC content detected, switching framerate.
Pos: 6.5s 157f ( 0%) 23fps Trem: 0min 0mb A-V:0.000 [968:0]

I don't get why you used dvddecrypt to demuw, then rename the files, then blah blah blah.
Use dvddecrypter to ripp the whole vob, with no demux ! You can demux afterwards the audio with either vobedit or dvd2avi.

... like Phil mentioned:
You do the demuxing process in DVDdecrypter.

Do you want to reenecode the ac3 to smaller size?
If yes do the decrypting process as explained by Phil above, by this you get ONE VOB (no file splitting in DVDdecrypter!) and the needed IFO for Audio Language Track parsing in Packshot.
That was the Idea, Just one VOB and the IFO needed.

IF you want to keep the audio, just load the ONE VOB into packshot and do the video encoding job out of the source VOB ... afterwards you can demux the Ac3 out of the orig ONE VOB as expl. by Phil.

why should it?

If you set the fps right, for shure the audio will be in sync. Kwag did many IVTC'ed encodings and Audio also in NTSC was in sync.

Whats the type of your source, I mean is it a Hollywoodmovie or a documentation, Director Comments, Concert ????

We have to know if your source is interlaced, Telecined or Progressive!

If its a capture then yes, but on DVDs the 23.976 originals are at 90% just pulldownflag added, means truely 23.976 encoded but seen by the player to be pulldowned internally when reading out of the dvd.

You probably meant that phil and I just stated that cause of oxycotton420.

SO if your 23.976 out of the orig DVD gets in then do encode that one ALSO at 23.976 and hit the "pulldown" checkbox so pulldown.exe will be started afterwards to add that pulldownflag to the previous encoded stream.
