I am making my KVCD's with the TMPEG Templates and using CQ (or CQ_VBR) for my files and getting them to the so-called correct size is not a problem. I figured out file size predictions finally, it only took having my teeth drilled, minor back surgery, and I think I dropped a bowling ball on my foot before I actually came up with a good method that works for me.

Well, I know you can get about ~800megs (790 or so) on a normal CD-R. However, I am making files that come out around ~680 - 750megs, and Nero is telling me that there is not enough disk space to burn these.

So my question is... Does this have something to do with disc sectors, or am I preparing the file incorrectly?

I have tried using VCDEasy (Does the same thing.) I have tried multiplexing with Standard VCD headers, Non-Standard VCD Headers, and standard system VCD Headers with TMPEG. They just seem to make the file larger.

I really Like KVCD (Better than Xvid). And would love to learn how to make this work.

This was talked many times in forum. I don't remember what was the solution, but you can do a search and finally you will find out your answer.

Make sure you didn't use TMPGEnc version 2.59
It's buggy, and you get that behaviour.

Oh, really... that's the one I am using.

I feel like writing a comedy sketch on this, however my audience would be quite limited.

Every time I figure something out, it doesn't seem to work quite right! Okay, time to dive head first into the forums and not come up until I get this down!
