Hi TheMarto ,
No, MencodeMe does not support subtitles.
However Mencoder (MencodeMe's engine) has subtitle support.
The only thing is that the last time I tried to use it, it was broken.
There are loads of emails in Mencoder's mailing list about that proble and it seems it hasn't been solved.
However, if you are encoding for KDVD, you can encode your movies with MencodeMe and add the subtitles later on in a "switchable" way.
Just use DVDLab Pro or DVDAuthorGUI for authoring.
Both have pretty good subtitle support.
You can do the same with KVCD but using Winsubmux instead.
Unfortunatly, many don't support those and worse than that there are two fomats (SVCD and CVD) and players that support switchable subtitles on a VCD/SVCD only support one of those two formats.
If you have doubts about this issue you can post it at the subtitles forum.
Cheers

You're quite welcome
I love being able to help even if it's just a tiny little bit

OT
Yes Belém is one of the finest places in Lisbon.
Not to mention the cakes they make there
Drop by within 3-4 years.
They are finally restoring many of the city original (1800's) architecture.
I think it will even improve.
I hope one day I save enough money to make REAL vacations and visit some place outside Portugal.
Maybe go to...Buenos Aires
/OT
Cheers

Hi: I have tested subtitles with mencoder and it works. I tested VM and Inc compilations, and newer (last official release). Subtitles will dissapear in the right time ever that you include in your "expand" option, :-1:-1 as your 2 last values (or any other value, e.g. mencalc values). In other words, don't leave expand=704:576 but expand=704:576:-1:-1.
With this your subtitles will work more than fine.
