I wonder if someone can explain the following to me, I am using TMPGENC 2.5 plus to convert files to dvd ntsc and keep getting the above process running when trying to convert to dvd and i would like to know what this is. Here are the details of the file:
File extension: xvid in an avi container
Aspect Ratio: 2.35:1
Audio: VBR MP3
Frames per second: 29.97 NTSC
Runtime: 2hours 15 minutes.
Here are the settings i use in tmpgenc 2.5.
1) Start tmpgenc use project wizard select dvd ntsc and audio as cbr mpeg layer 2.
2) load the source file in original video file, select non interlace, 4,3 display, film movie. These are the default settings.
3) next screen selection is constant bit rate and motion search precision is set to lowest quality very fast.
4) next screen change screen resolution to 352 x 480 and change bitrate size so that output file is 3gb.
5) Choose where to save output file with elementary audio and video stream and start encoding immediately.
This is where the problem is as soon as i start that a little bit at the bottom says "Processing Inverse Telecine progress 23.976 (even though the original file is 29.97) and this process takes over an hour and a half. I just wanted to know is there anyway of correcting this as it would mean the encoding time will be quicker.
