what is the easiest way go from kvcd to kdvd i tried to open the kvcd .mpg file in tmpegenc adn it said unsupported or can't open.

You can open any mpeg file with TMPEG.
Just check that you have the correct options on the "Environment" VFAPI plugin options, and also check the priorities there.

I use DVD patcher to patch the resolution of the KVCD to a DVD compliant one and load it in TMPGenc dvd author, i do the same with 3 other films and create the vobs, patch back the vobs to the resolution the files was made with (528x480) and out comes a DVD with 4 films without any conversion.

I know that is not what you asked but i see no point in converting a film again if your SAP can play it fine.
