Hi,

I just wanted to say that hc is working in Linux, using the wine 'emulator'. I encoded a 3000 frame sample, and I have to try with a full encoding also.
I installed avisynth in wine, and reading avs file within hc, from NTFS partition, is working fine.
Only had to link my 'windows' avisynth plugins and dvdrip directory in wine to wine's directory, and had got some problems with some plugins (because of some required dll), but not with hc.
Will continue playing with hc in linux!

Hi Fabrice,

How does it compare in speed, if you do the same in Windows
I would assume there is a speed penalty loss, by running HC emulated under WINE.

Hi,

Well I have to say that I lost access to my windows system (only NTFS read only acess), so I can't do a real paralell test, but encoding a sample seem to last 30% more in wine than in native windows.
With hc0.14, this 30% is the speed gain compared to 0.12, so for me, it last the same.

Next step is to compile hc for linux!
