Hi,

There is not really guide update programmed, whatever the guide. But your question can be easily answered.

Actually to ripp a disc nowaday there isn't a lot of solutions : it's ripit4me or, for the latest discs, DVD Fab Gold (this is the only tool contuniously updated to new protection systems).

Ripit4me as a "1-click" mode. Just have to put the disc in the reader and click the button.

I don't remember well how Nero deals with that; Better is to use Imgburn for burning.

Wait a minute. How big is your file ?

When you speak about buying a 800 MB disc, are you talking about a 90 min CD ?

A 80 min CD already fits 800 MB of data in mode 1 (mode used for the VCD). That's 100 MB more than what is indicated on the box because VCD does not use any error correction method, so can handle more than a regular data CD. Actually you can go up to 820 Mb using overburn (if your burner allows it).

As I've said, if your file is 751 Mb, it is far below the limit of a 80 min disc.
Did you try imgburn ?

note: 751 is the length of the bin file generated by vcdeasy or the length of the mpg file ?

Your burner is probably not supported by it then

Nevertheless you should look arround with Nero's option because a 90min disc won't be of any help : there are just 80min disc (and identified like this by all the tools) that are certified to support overburn up to 90 min.
If Nero can't, or thinks it can't, fit your movie on a 80 min disc, it will be the same with a 90 min.
Look at this section of the forum to retrieve (old) informations :
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=14

But you did not answer : 751 is the length of the bin or the mpg ?

Don't care about the avi. the bin is 863 so that is the mpg that is 751 ?
If yesn then don't look further : you used bad settings in vcdeasy. It must be configured to produce not standard VCD.

(edit: typo)
