Hi all,

Actually i'am not sure about the right forum to post this message.
I got this kind of error for the first time.

loading a d2v-file to FitCD gives me that warning:

Couldn't find the sequence-header of the MPEG!
C:\Shining\shining.d2v must be broken!?
Can't get info from embedded source-MPEG

I simply ignored it and proceeded...
encoding the prediction-sample worked fine,
but when i encoded the full movie TMPEnc stopped
at 77% with an errormessage that says something like
'illegal decimal operation' (can't remember exactly)

Somebody can help me to solve this problem, please?

regards, ***mfb***

I had the same problem... was it "Illegal Decimal Floating Point" or something?
That sounds like you have to increase priority of Direct Show Multimedia reader under TMPGEnc... I don't know about that first error though...

I would suggest you rip the files again. What did you use to rip the files?

Already ripped it twice using Smartripper 2.41 and DVD2AVI 1.76
Same procedure like one hundred times before, but this was the
first time that i got this FitCD-warning message...
Seems not to be a very common error

Ripped it again using DVDDecrypter and didn't get that FitCD warning
message. Encoded a sample-strip without problems. Encoded the full
movie and ooiihhh...TMPGEnc (2.59 plus) stopped with the same error-
message 'Illegal floating decimal point calculation order'. Ok, tried to
encode with TMPGEnc 2.510 just to see what will happen...and what i
didn't expect...full movie encode finished with successsss

mmhh, maybe a bugfix in the latest version of TMPGEnc?

@mfb

I get the same prob from time to time (TMPG 2.58+). If find if I change the CQ by 1 (+ or -) if fixes things, guess it changes the maths.
