Hi,

I have been making some test KVCD's using the V2 plus template (NTSC 352x480) and I was pleased to discover that it works no problem in both of my DVD players, but I am having a problem with the aspect ratio (on both the PC and standalone). The problem being that it looks severly letterboxed, when it is just a TV sitcom capture converted from VHS that should be 4:3. I am using Avisynth to resize it to 352x480. If I set it to 352x240 it looks as it should. In TMPGenc I have it set to 4:3 525 NTSC and "Full Screen (keep aspect ratio)". What am I doing incorrectly? Should it be set to just "Full Screen"...and the template seems to default to 1:1 VGA, if I have no intention of watching them on my PC, do I still need to leave this setting?

Thanks!

Hi hudsonhawk,

When using AviSynth to feed TMPG, I always use "4:3 display" and "full screen".
I never had a single problem with aspect ratios (any template).
