i am muxing with tmpgenc because bbmpeg will not work for me...

so i use tmpgenc...

i am using kvcdx3, so i have an m1v & mp2 file to mux...no other programs are running when i am muxing and i use tmpgenc version 2.58...

when i choose mpeg-1 vcd non standard everything is ok i do not have any errors...but when i am trying mpeg-1 vcd i have the following...227308 s packets cause buffer underflow. The mpeg file might cause error when it played...

why is that?

the file it self can be played on my computer but could i burned it anyway?

and it is 100 mb bigger than the one using vcd non standard...

do i have to use vcd non standard or could the regular vcd could work for muxing??

Hi big,

You must use non-standard VCD muxing, because of the variable bit rate used on all KVCD templates.

BBMpeg is a better muxer than TMPG (it creates files that are more compliant and play properly on more peoples' dvd players, and it also allows you to mux from an exact "start" and "end" point of your choosing, which is very convenient for trimming credits when necessary). So you really should try to figure out how to get BBMpeg working on your system if you can. But using TMPG is okay as long as the files it creates play right on your player, and that is your primary concern.

KVCD's created with the x3 template are non-standard vcd's, so you should mux them as non-standard vcd.

Happy Encoding,

little hint:

KVCD's created with the x3 templates
with 480x480 encoded as mpeg2....

burn as standard svcd!
